[pccgrads] One PCC At-large Fellowship Available-applications due to PCC by Aug 1

The Program on Climate Change (PCC) is pleased to be able to offer one
9-month graduate fellowship for the 2014/2015 academic year to incoming and
graduate students who have completed less than four quarters as of August 1,
2014 in the School of Environmental and Forest Resources, the School of
Aquatic and Fishery Sciences and Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Students must demonstrate an interest in interdisciplinary climate research
and should be committed to participating in the Graduate Certificate in
Climate Science (GCeCS) and other PCC programs. All qualified applicants
will be considered and those with demonstrated interest in PCC programs will
be given priority.

Students apply directly to the PCC.

Application materials must be submitted by 1 August 2014, for notification
by 1 September 2014, and must include:

1. Undergraduate and graduate transcripts (where applicable), highlighting
courses that fulfill the prerequisites for the Graduate Certificate in
Climate Science (GCeCS). Prerequisites for the GCeCS are: at least six
quarters (four semesters) of undergraduate or graduate coursework in
geophysical science, chemistry, biology or physics, including at least one
quarter of chemistry all with an average grade of B (3.0) or above.

2. Applicant statement (1-2 pages). Should include a description of
research interests illustrating how the PCC relates to their career/research
interests and affirm that they plan to fulfill the requirements of the
Graduate Certificate in Climate Science (GCeCS).

3. Faculty advisor recommendation (1-page). Faculty advisor should be or
become familiar with the PCC and PCC educational goals and describe how the
applicants' interests relate to these goals.
