The University of Washington Health Sciences Library (HSL) has an outstanding opportunity for an energetic, creative, innovative, and service-oriented individual for the position of Outreach & Access Coordinator in the Regional Medical Library (RML) for the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) Region 5<https://www.nnlm.gov/region5>.



The incumbent will be part of a collaborative outreach team promoting access to and sharing of biomedical and health information resources in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and U.S. Territories and Freely Associated States in the Pacific. As a core position in the RML, the Outreach & Access Coordinator develops and implements outreach to increase health and digital literacy skills and access to quality health information, using National Library of Medicine (NLM) products and services, for all audiences, including health professionals, medical librarians, public librarians, community colleges libraries, minority serving institutions with programs in the health sciences, and state or regional professional associations.



The RML at University of Washington works in collaboration with other RML programs, national and regional partners, the NNLM Training Office, the NNLM Evaluation Center, the NNLM National Center for Data Services, the National Public Health Information Office, the National Web Services Office, and the Office of Engagement and Training headquartered at the NLM.
