[Mathmajors] Math student council submissions open for 24-25

[Math & ACMS Student Services Office via Mathmajors]

Dear Math majors,

The Math department would like to create a math student council to help advise the undergraduate program on academic and professional issues, suggest improvements, and be ambassadors for professional activities. We are looking for a small number of dedicated students to create the first council in Autumn 2024 and help define its role and scope.

If you are interested, please

  *
Write a short paragraph (no more than ½ page) saying what you might be able to bring to the council.
  *
Feel free to attach a 1 page CV in addition.
  *
The above should include the following items if they apply to you:

– leadership skills
– interest in math and related careers
– ability to create web pages/advertise on social media.
