Below you will find important information about graduating senior priority (GSP), spring quarter course offerings and registration tips.



Are you planning to graduate this coming spring, summer or autumn quarter? If you are and have not yet applied for graduation, visit math.washington.edu/graduation-commencement-information<https://math.washington.edu/graduation-commencement-information> . To register on Friday, FEB 9th with GSP, eligible students must email their graduation application request to our office no later than 5pm, Thursday, February 1, 2024

MATH MAJOR REGISTRATION INFORMATION:



MATH 301 – Elementary Number Theory is open to all Math majors who have completed MATH 300 with a 2.0 or higher grade.



MATH 327 - Real Analysis: Recommended for students who plan to take advanced math courses (i.e. 424, 441, and other courses); prerequisite: MATH 300 with a 2.0 or higher grade.



MATH 381 - Discrete Mathematical Modeling; Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores



Period I         MATH & ACMS majors

Period II        Open to all majors

Period III       MATH & ACMS majors



MATH 398B - WDRP (Washington Directed Reading Program; applications will open in early March.  https://sites.uw.edu/wdrp/



MATH 399A - WXML (Washington eXperimental Mathematics Lab); applications will open in mid-March.  http://wxml.math.washington.edu/



MATH 407 / MATH 409- Optimization: we will no longer offer separate Math and ACMS sections.  Both majors will register simultaneously.

MATH 493 - Stochastic Calculus for Option Pricing; MATH 492 will be offered during the 2024-2025 academic year.
