[Mathmajors] Internships – USDOT Women and Girls in Transportation Initiative (WITI)

Our office, Northwest Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC)
is recruiting female college students in ideally Engineering, Technology,
and Mathematics fields to participate in the 2022 US DOT’s Women and Girls
in Transportation Initiative (WITI) Summer Internship Program.

The SBTRC will place qualified college students in transportation related
internships throughout the Northwest Region. Here is more information about

Program Requirements:

- Full-time college student at an accredited college/university
- US Citizen
- Copy of student’s recent transcript
- 1 page letter of interest on working in the transportation industry
- Student will earn college credit for internship

Once accepted, the Intern will be placed in a relevant government agency or
company within the transportation industry. Intern is expected to work 30
hours a week for 6 weeks to finish the program.



End of internship: Intern will submit a 2-page reflection of the internship
and employer evaluation.

*Upon successful completion intern will receive a stipend of $3,000 and
will be highlighted on the USDOT website for their engagement. *
