[Mathmajors] Two Opportunities From UW's Actuarial Club

Hello, we are the Actuarial Club at UW! We want to send this message to let
you all know of two opportunities we have.

1. The UW Actuarial Club is planning to host a mock case competition on *April
12th from 5:30-6:30 p.m.* and we would love for you to be a part of it!
This case competition will be in conjunction with Milliman, a management
consulting firm based in Seattle. We will be working directly with their
Seattle Life department, with a Principal and Consulting Actuary leading
this challenge (*Milliman will present virtually for the case competition
intro, we'll give you the Zoom link to that meeting Milliman sends the link*
).

At kickoff, Milliman will present a scenario with a dataset for individuals
to analyze to find a solution to the proposed problem. The case competition
will last approximately 4 weeks, and will wrap up around the *week of May
9th (tentatively Tuesday, May 10th at 5:30 pm)* where students will present
their solutions to members of Milliman's Seattle Life team.

2. On *Tuesday* *April 19th*, Oliver Wyman, a leading international
management consulting firm, will be coming to UW with 4-5 representatives.
They will discuss about the actuarial field, what they do on a daily basis
at Oliver Wyman such as current projects, opportunities at Oliver Wyman,
resume tips, and much more. Oliver Wyman will be with us in *Savery 139
from 5:30-6:30 p.m*.
