The first quarter of a three-quarter paid internship program, this course uses the lenses of equity, antiracist museum practices, and collaborative learning to introduce selected students from all majors to the work of contemporary art interpretation and community
engagement within the museum setting. Building on the idea that everyone's life and learning can be enriched through dialogue with contemporary art practices, students in the Henry Art Liaison program will receive mentorship and training to eventually lead
dynamic and community-centered engagements that offer multiple pathways for school and student groups, families, and the general public to connect with the concepts and conversations found within the museum’s exhibitions, as well as other local arts-related
