Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the submission deadlines for the 12th
edition of the Smart Cities International Conference (SCIC12) have been
extended. Please note the new key dates:

November 17, 2024: Deadline for abstract submission

November 24, 2024: Notification of acceptance to authors

These updated deadlines offer more time to prepare and submit your abstracts
for participation in SCIC12, themed "Resilient Communities Empowered by
Collective Intelligence." The conference will take place on December 4-6,
2024, at the National University of Political Studies and Public
Administration (SNSPA) in Bucharest, Romania, with both onsite and online
participation options.

We encourage academics, policymakers, early-stage researchers, and students
in social sciences and related fields to join us in exploring the latest
advancements and challenges in smart city development. The conference
includes a variety of tracks, such as Smart Governance, Smart Environment,
Smart Technology, Smart Economy, Smart People, Smart Mobility, Smart Living,
Smart Education, Young Leaders for Smart Cities, and Future trends -
Smart(er) State.

Additionally, SCIC12 will feature a Doctoral Workshop on December 4th,
specifically designed for PhD candidates. This workshop provides a valuable
platform for emerging scholars to present research and engage with experts.
Senior researchers will also provide lectures on essential research tools
and communication skills relevant in the era of Generative AI.

Funding opportunities through the Erasmus program are also available to
support transnational mobility activities. Details can be found in the
attached document.
