Dear colleague,
I hope this email finds you well.
On behalf of the organizing committee, I am delighted to invite you to
participate in the 12th edition of the Smart Cities International Conference
(SCIC12), entitled "Resilient Communities Empowered by Collective
Intelligence". The conference will take place in December 4-6, 2024, at the
National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA)
in Bucharest, Romania. We are pleased to offer both onsite and online
participation options to accommodate diverse needs and preferences.
We encourage academics, policymakers, early-stage researchers, students in
social sciences, and other related fields to join us in exploring the latest
advancements and challenges in smart city development. The conference will
feature a range of tracks, including:
* Smart Governance
* Smart Environment
* Smart Technology
* Smart Economy
* Smart People
* Smart Mobility
* Smart Living
* Smart Education
* Young Leaders for Smart Cities
* Future trends - Smart(er) State
This year, we are excited to introduce a Doctoral Workshop on December 4th,
specifically designed for PhD candidates. This workshop aims to provide
emerging scholars with a platform to present their research and engage with
experts in the field. Senior researchers will also offer lectures on
essential research tools and communication skills relevant in the era of
Generative AI.
Additionally, we are pleased to announce that funding opportunities are
available through the Erasmus program. This funding is intended to promote
transnational mobility activities, targeting staff such as professors,
teachers, trainers, youth workers, and individuals working in organizations
active in education, training, and youth fields. More information regarding
these opportunities can be found in the attached document.
Please find attached the official call for papers for SCIC12, which includes
detailed information about the conference tracks, submission guidelines,
important dates, and funding opportunities. Notably, there is no
participation or publication fee for this conference.
Key Dates:
October 27, 2024: Deadline for abstract submission
November 10, 2024: Notification of acceptance
November 29, 2024: Deadline for final paper submission
December 2, 2024: Publication of the conference's final program
December 4-6, 2024: Conference sessions
