this month, Dr. <b>Eugene Yang</b>, clinical professor (Cardiology) and other UW Medicine representatives shared a conference table with South Korea’s minister of health and welfare and other delegates from the nation. Yang had worked behind the scenes to
get a Seattle stop included in the visitors’ tour of U.S. healthcare systems.<o:p></o:p></span></span></p>

<b>Joshua Hill</b>, associate professor (Allergy and Infectious Diseases) received a $5 million award from the NCI for a 5-year multicenter randomized, placebo-controlled trial entitled “Immunoglobulin Replacement Therapy and Infectious Complications After
CD19- Targeted CAR-T-Cell Therapy.” The study will enroll CAR-T cell therapy recipients at 5 cancer centers to study the role of IVIG for infection prevention and other off-target immunomodulatory effects.
