Division spotlight: Cardiology
[cid:image003.png at 01D963E2.B5379DE0]As part of our 75th Anniversary, we plan to spotlight each of our divisions over the course of the year, in the order they were established. The Division of Cardiology was founded in 1950, and its clinical and research lineages are both traced to Dr. Robert A. Bruce, the founding Division Head.
Bruce developed the exercise treadmill test that bears his name: the “Bruce Protocol,” which remains the gold standard for evaluating human cardiovascular function in both clinical and research settings.
