Even if you’ve always studied alone, you may find it helpful to form study groups and talk through the material you’re encountering in your upper-division courses.

With that in mind, the Math Department is pleased to announce the continuation of the Math Major Study Hall in Spring 2024. The MMSH will include in-person hours in the Math Library (PDL C-306) and its own discord server.

The discord server is here: https://discord.gg/HhAvzErT. They will also be monitoring the MMSH discord server regularly.

Even when TAs aren’t around, we encourage our majors to utilize the Math Library in PDL C-306 as a place to study, alone or in groups, and participate in the culture of the math department.

Best of luck this quarter.

Dr. Jennifer Taggart (she/they)
Teaching Professor
Undergraduate Program Coordinator
Department of Mathematics

University of Washington
