[Acmsmajors] Credit increase for Math courses - effective Summer 2025

Dear Math and ACMS Majors,

Effective summer 2025, many Math courses that were 3 credits will increase to 4 credits.  We anticipate the catalog to reflect those changes Friday, Jan. 31.

The change has been made to reflect the average workload students reported for our courses.  While this is a welcome relief for many of you, we realize this impacts some future plans for others. Can courses this quarter or spring quarter be worth 4 credits?  No, this change is effective Summer 2025.

Will this change my degree requirements?  No.  Our degrees require a specific number of courses with minimum credit thresholds.  We are not changing the number of courses required.  You must complete the listed number of required courses for your current degree.
