We are wondering if you could please send this message below to the students in your department. We believe that math majors could benefit from our club. Thanks in advance. Hello, we are the Actuarial Club at UW. We are reaching out to invite you all to join our club meetings. In our club we discuss about actuaries, who are people that manage risk. We discuss what it takes to become an actuary and also provide opportunities for our members, such as a resume and interview workshop. This quarter, we are planning to have our mentorship program. We pair our club members with actuaries, and the members can meet with the actuaries and ask them questions about the profession. We meet up on Wednesdays from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in room 164 in Savery Hall. If you are interested in our club, here is the projected club calendar for Winter quarter: January 8th - Actuary 101 and mentorship program intro January 15th - Break for MLK Day January 22rd - Resume/Cover letter workshop January 29th - Interview workshop February 5th - Mentorship kickoff February 12th - Excel Workshop February 19th - Break February 26th - Actuary Jeopardy March 5th - Team Bonding If you have any questions or would just like to reach out, our email is actuary@uw.edu and our Instagram is @husky_actuary.
