SEBA's April Networking Lunch April 20th (Tomorrow)
Are you curious about what it takes to start a venture capital firm or work
in consulting? SEBA is hosting its next Networking Lunch on April 20
featuring David Youssefina at 11:30 - 1:30! RSVP HERE
<https://uwseba.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=e6e71d51a0df458153eb76e62&id=29585fabed&e=e92c0fb8ec>.

David Youssefnia is an organizational psychologist, founder (3X) and
advisor. After a successful consulting career (Mercer, Critical Metrics),
he made the transition to early stage technology and co-founded his first
VC backed technology company (Uplevel, backed by Norwest, Madrona and
others). David is now focused on solving some of the pressing issues with
remote work, specifically, the increase in burnout, isolations and silos.
David holds a Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the City
University of New York. When he’s not geeking out on organizational science
and technology, you can find him tinkering around in a kitchen (past
projects include home-made pastrami and smoked trout)

Husky Hackathon on May 13th - 15th

The Foster Technology Club has its third annual Husky Hackathon May 135h -
15th. The theme of this year's Hackathon is *Green Logistics*.

The Hackathon will be an exciting 48 hours of building prototypes,
presenting to investors, and creating businesses. Through this hackathon,
teams will experience the entire life cycle of building a product. Leaders
and mentors from top technology companies in Seattle will be available to
engage and support teams, and a group of leading VC’s will ultimately judge
the final presentations. The hackathon is open to students across all
schools at the UW, so it should be a great opportunity to network with a
new group of students, as well as leaders at some of Seattle’s leading
companies.

Participants will also have access to exclusive immersive workshops
conducted by industry experts so that everyone can learn from this
cross-functional experience. Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and
3rd place teams (last year’s total prize money was $12.5K)!

*Registration URL and event details: To be released soon.*

Please see the attached student flyer. If you have any questions or need
additional information, please reach out to Nilisha Soni at ns77 at uw.edu .
