Watchdawg -- North of 45th Safety Info

About Watchdawg
English (USA)

The University of Washington, in cooperation with the Seattle Police Department, has established a new method to advise the surrounding campus community about timely crime issues, called WatchDawg. The WatchDawg notification system is open to any individual, business or group who would like to receive information regarding crime issues, safety tips, and security issues affecting the community surrounding the UW campus. There is a simple process to subscribe to WatchDawg.

Through WatchDawg, the University of Washington Police Department and the Seattle Police Department will combine efforts to keep the community informed. By simply subscribing to the WatchDawg, you will receive periodic messages. This is not meant as a listserve, but as a communication tool to reach out to the community.

This service was created by a special committee established by UW President Emmert called the North of 45th Working Group, brought together to address safety concerns and other issues north of 45th Street. The committee, made up of representatives from the University of Washington, City of Seattle, University Park neighborhood, student leaders, and others, wanted to find a method to communicate with the community. It is the hope of this committee that University Park members/residents, including students, faculty and staff who live in the area, and the University District community will subscribe and benefit from this service.
